From July 28 to 31, 2022, FOSPA – Pan-Amazonian Social Forum was held at UFPA – Federal University of Pará. FOSPA is a set of movements, articulations and peoples from across the Pan-Amazon, made up of nine countries: Brazil, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, French Guiana and Suriname, which in this edition came together to combat fascism, authoritarianism, defend the territories and self-government of the people, in the forests, rivers, fields and cities , in addition to the fight to stop the environmental destruction of the Amazon.
Nômade Tecnologias participated in the organization of the event, contributing to the construction of the communication strategy, transmission of the conversation circles that took place through the so-called Casas de Saberes e Sentires. But it also made an important contribution to the computerization of participant accreditation and issuance of certificates related to the event, through the Certifica solution, developed by the company.
The highlight of the event's participation was through the intercontinental partnership with Infinity Labs, which through the exchange of knowledge between the two institutions made possible the creation of Rádio FOSPA. System that was organized so that the team of communicators and artists, including radio presenter Nagi Sanches and artist Raulê Assunção, could carry out wonderful work documenting activists and social movements that, from the studios, set up in room Qb3 at FAOC at the university's Basic Campus, they participated in interview programs on the radio programming schedule.
Among the interviews that were carried out, the evaluation roundtable of the CODA Amazônia event (Amazon Data Journalism Conference) that took place at UFPA as a preparatory event for the Panamazônico Social Forum stands out. This initiative was carried out in the context of the Voices for Climate Action program and was organized by OKBR (Open Knowledge Brasil) and other organizations that are part of the Amazon Data Ecosystem Coalition, which are: Casa Preta, Coletivo Puraqué, Infoamazonia and PyLadies Manaus.
According to the general coordinator of the Panamazonian Social Forum, filmmaker Luiz Arnaldo, who was one of the main promoters of the creation of Rádio FOSPA, web radio programming was of fundamental importance in giving even more strength to the voices of the people and activists who work in defense of the Amazon.
It really was a very successful action and included the remote collaboration of Rama – Xicnet and in person from Luiz Sanches and Jader Gama, who are part of the international collaboration project called Cosmotécnicas Amazônicas. The system remains on air and from September 2022 onwards, a new phase will begin with a programming schedule focused on debates on technopolitics and free digital tools. By the way, the free solution adopted was Azuracast.
The experience is also being taken to Fundação Escola Bosque in the island region of Belém, where radio presenter Nagi Sanches will hold a series of web radio workshops for teachers and students with the aim of putting the Rádio Educativa Curupira project on air again. .
Long live Radio!
